Technology has an integral role in the treasury function today.  We look at the options available to treasurers in China, examining the advantages and disadvantages of TMS and ERP systems.

China Focus | IFRS and Chinese Accounting
Since 2007 public-listed companies in China have had to comply with new Chinese accounting standards.  These are very similar to the IFRS accounting standards, although there are some notable differences.  Full implementation of the standards for all enterprises is expected in 2010.  Lydia Lim, Senior Manager of China firm, LehmanBrown International Accountants, examines these differences and why it is important for companies operating in China to understand these new standards, which aim to improve transparency by placing greater emphasis on performance, fair value and risk reporting.  .
